Through daily life and exposure to various parts of the world,
at the moment when a person interacts with something,
something is born between the person and the something.
I want to carefully capture that moment, those events that are latent and hard to capture with words.
I search for the contours of those events, and through human interaction with the world through the senses, I approach creating products that have the ability to evoke imagination.
This is the approach that Naoyuki Kiyota is exploring.
To myself,
to the people I interact with,
to the materials,
and to the processes,
through a great deal of communication, I continue to go through trial and error.
In the process of the above, I place great importance on gradually giving form to concepts, ideas, and shapes.
